JÖRG WIDMANN & JENS HARZER

Actor Jens Harzer, bearer of the Iffland Ring, honoring the “greatest actor of the German-speaking theater,” since 2019 and a longtime ensemble member of Hamburg’s Thalia Theater, joins clarinetist Jörg Widmann in a program of music and words inspired by the writings of Paul Celan. Selected works by the German-Romanian poet are juxtaposed with music for solo clarinet by Luciano Berio and Mark Andre as well as Widmann’s own “Schubert Reminiscences” for Piano.
