MUSICAL PERSPECTIVES
Musical Perspectives is a creative project born out of Prof. Yael Kareth's music mediation course, aimed at exploring the many ways we can communicate, share, and reflect on music and life as musicians. In a time in which artists and audiences are coming closer together, the goal is to find diverse outlets for sharing ideas—from written stories and reflections to multimedia formats like videos, recordings, and podcasts. Through this project, students engage in a process of self-discovery and skill-building, learning how to connect with wide audiences by sharing their experiences and insights in approachable, authentic ways. Whether through words, sound, or visual content, Musical Perspectives encourages using multiple mediums to tell compelling stories about music, performance, and the journey of being musician.
The Leibinger Professorship for Transcultural Music Mediation and Pedagogy is supported by the Berthold Leibinger Foundation.
