Welcome! We are delighted that you have accepted the offer of admission for the 2026-27 academic year. On this page you will find important information to prepare for your arrival at the Barenboim-Said Akademie. Please read all the information carefully.
Please use this checklist to prepare for enrollment. Further details can be found in the separate Enrollment Requirements document you received via email. Please send us scanned copies of these documents as soon as they are available.
Required Educational Documents based on your student status
All required documents must be presented as paper originals or officially certified copies during the orientation week. For certificates that are not in English or German, we also require officially certified translations.

All incoming students are required to meet with a member of Admissions team between 4 to 6 August 2026 to confirm the exact documents which will be required for matriculation during orientation.

- BAföG through the StudierendenWERK Berlin: Government funded study loan (BAföG)
The StudierendenWERK Berlin also offers an emergency funds and a counselling services on how to apply for scholarships in Germany. - DAAD Scholarships: Variety of scholarships for international students
The DAAD also offers a scholarship database, where you can explore funding opportunities. - Emergency Fund of the Diakonisches Werk: This fund assists students from Africa, Latin America, and Asia who are in acute emergency situations.
